It was great to see that David Cameron, in his press conference about the floods this week reasserted the government’s commitment on climate change. But the press seems to have such a short memory.
Just compare his timid words: “..whatever your view about climate change, it makes sense to mitigate it and act to deal with that weather” with they way he talked in 2006 as leader of the opposition. Continue reading David Cameron, then and now
I’ve just read this really interesting article by Zoe Williams, which reviews George Lakoff’s theory about the way US progressives have been failing – for decades – to frame the issues they care about effectively. Instead they are letting the right do so over and over again, to the point that Democrats in power still have to work within a framework set by the right.
