In my non-journalistic work, a large part of what I do is to write content, such as this for the UK’s Energy & Climate Intelligence Unit (blog), this Huffington Post article for the3million, or planning and editing in depth features for the EU Commission’s Climate Pact. I am otherwise often working for clients to find information that is not easily available, and writing it up as clearly and concisely as possible.
Among other things I do:
- writing, re-writing (e.g. summarising complex research papers in a more concise an accessible format), editing and ghost-writing articles and briefings, targeted to specific audiences
- narrative design and storytelling advice
- strategic campaign, communications and policy advice, including media and stakeholder management
- analysis of political and policy developments in UK, EU and globally, including report research and writing
- project management, project design & fundraising
- short video & animation production
- training in campaigning, influencing, communications and policy analysis (EU, UK, global)
